Northern Ark Nursery specialises in home-grown, unusual hardy perennial plants, shrubs and herbs. At their nursery near Longhorsley in Northumberland, Simon and Tracy raise the vast majority of the plants from their own collected seeds and cuttings, from their own stock plants. This is a fantastic way to cut down on plant miles as well as ensuring that your plants are fully acclimatised to the local area and will settle in well to their new location. In the autumn they sell a variety of bulbs and they produce a great range of wreaths for both inside and out, at Christmas time.
They grow all of the plants in peat-free compost. This is a loam and bark mix produced in the U.K.
