Hexham Farmers’ Market takes place in Market Place itself and up to three sides around Hexham Abbey across the road. Depending of the number of producers booked, you may find stalls just opposite the market, by the Abbey Shop and occasionally along the path to the Sele on the north side of the Abbey.
This Saturday, 27 April, we’re expecting to have 22 stalls on the Market Place, by the Abbey Shop and on the Abbey Flags. We’ll open at 9am and will run until 1.30pm. We welcome back Cassie’s Vintage Kitchen with their Scotch Eggs and Stonehouse Smokery, freshly recovered from their TV appearance. We have a new producer trying out the market for the first time: El’s Bakes, from Haydon Bridge, wih her sweet baking. We hope you’ll make her very welcome. In addition we have a great range of regular local producers like Muckle Brewing, Askerton Castle (did you spot them on TV?) and Durham Soap Co. In addition we have the Transition Tynedale Plant Swap and music from the 10th Avenue Band.
