For our second July market, we’ve for a market jam-packed with great locally produced food, drink and other local products and plenty of choice for a big part of your weekly shop.
On Saturday 25th we’ll have 24 stalls and music and entertainment from the Big Diehl Band. It’s also the weekend of Hexham Bluegrass and Americana and there will be lots of music from about noon onwards.
We’ll have six stalls by the Abbey facing into Beaumont Street: Northumberland Honey, First and Last Brewery, The Greek Bakery, Liddesdale Vension, Go Local Food and Mawbray Cheese Co. There are four on the Abbey Flags facing the market: Greenfield Growers, Spicy Monkey, Northumbrian Pantry and John Howdon Wood and Resin. The rest of the crowd- Slackhouse Farm, Durham Soap, Bread and Roses, Cumberland Mustard, Samosa Singh, Northern Ark Nursery, Alex Bakes, Noisette Catering, Ravensworth Grange, Red Kite Fudge, Askerton Castle, J&R Armitage Apple Wine and Cider and Murphy’s Kitchen will be back in the Market Place.
