Welcome to Hexham Farmers' Market
Hexham Farmers Market is a long established market in the heart of the historic town of Hexham in Northumberland. Our producers come from within a 50 mile range of the town and they are all
passionate about what they do. They make the products themselves using a high percentage of locally produced ingredients, so the meat you buy at Hexham Farmers' Market is reared by the producer and
the vegetables are locally grown. Bread is made with a high percentage of locally produced flour and cakes will contain local eggs.
Our producers are committed to quality and value for money and are only too happy to answer any questions you might have.
We heard last Friday that Hexham Farmers' Market has been nominated for the BBC Food and Farming Awards 2015. This is hugely exciting news! We love our market, you'd expect that, but clearly other
people do too! We understand that the judges will whittle down the national list down to 3 finalists this week (w/b 16 February 2015). It's lovely to see and hear how positive people are about our
market. Last Saturday we were offered support by one of our regulars from the Battlesteads Hotel in Wark.
Hexham Farmers' Market takes place every second and fourth Saturday of the month. Our next market is on Saturday 28 February 2015. We will still be on winter hours so the market will run between
9amd and 1.30pm. Expect some great winter veg, we'll have all three cheese producers, four meat producers providing you with rare breed pork, organic belted Galloway beef, organic lamb and mutton and
a great range of sausages.
We have about 30 producers who come to Hexham Farmers' Market, all from within 50 miles of the town. Some are there every market, some attend once a month and a few are there occasionally. You can
